I received the gift of life on March 16th, 2009. I had spent almost 5 years on hemo-dialysis and have been afflicted by polycystic kidney disease for sometime. During the wait I had complications and even had to have surgery for two of them. For work I am a multimedia and internet designer/developer I had mostly given up on a good outcome for myself when this happened. I am so lucky to be here today. I probably wouldn’t have if not for the wonderful donor and their family that made this decision to save my life. I will always be gratful to the person and their family who made that fateful decision to make a difference and donate their kidney. Life in this state and it’s economy are never easy and somedays it looks not so promising. However I think about the great gift I have been given and know I need to make every day count because of the great gift I have been given. There is just not enough words to say thank you to the donor and family and the organizations and teams that made this all possible for me.. My gratitude for all you have done is permanently etched in my soul. Thank you and much love to everyone.
