Our Foundation’s Grants

Gift of Life Michigan offers two types of grants: a General Grant and a Lecture Series Grant.

General Grants

The Gift of Life Foundation General Grant program has been established to promote initiatives that support organ and tissue donation. The Foundation welcomes applications from community partners dedicated to promoting organ and tissue donation.

  • Grant applications are accepted in Q1 each year.
  • The grant funding cycle runs from July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024.
  • General Grants are limited to $20,000 per grantee annually.

Lecture Series Grant

The Gift of Life Foundation Lecture Series Grant has been established to encourage transplant-related institutions to educate and inform professionals and the public about innovative and recognized best practices in the field of transplant and/or donation.

  • Grant applications are accepted in Q1 each year.
  • The grant funding cycle runs from July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024.
  • Lecture Series Grants are limited to $2,500 per grantee annually.

Deadlines

Grant funding decisions are made at the Board of Trustees spring meeting and apply to the next funding cycle, which begins in July of each year. For your request to be considered for the upcoming funding cycle (July 1 – June 30), complete packets must be submitted by March 31.

Grant application materials are due March 31 for consideration and will not be returned.
