Carl Leon Childs

Besides being a loving husband, father, and grandfather, Carl was deeply involved in his community and had the desire to make life better for those around him. 45 year volunteer firefighter, chief twice president/mayor of Fairgrove MI, special advisor for Windmills In The Thumb. He was involved in all aspects, from behind the scenes to leading the way. He would do whatever was needed! If asked to describe a volunteer, you would say “Carl Childs”. Beyond his life, Carl continued to help others through donation because “That’s what he always did!”

He is remembered for his loyalty, dedication, service, and sacrifice.
