أعلنت منظمة Gift of Life Michigan عن انضمام عدد قياسي من الأشخاص إلى سجل المتبرعين بأعضاء ميتشيغان في عام 2011. تم تسجيل ما مجموعه 398 ألف شخص العام الماضي للتبرع بأعضائهم وعيونهم وأنسجتهم يومًا ما. وهذا يمثل زيادة بنسبة 25 في المائة عن 320 ألف شخص سجلوا في عام 2010. ويضم سجل المانحين الآن 2.4 مليون اسم.
