Guy R Veenendall
It is so difficult to talk about my son, Guy, in the past tense. He had a personality that was bigger than life, he had a presence about him and you knew when he walked into a room. He was witty, fun-loving, and had a great sense of humor, always the life of the party. He was selfless, a blessing to both family and friends. In spite of his many health issues, he always put others before himself regardless of how he was feeling, to offer help, support or encouragement whatever and whenever it was needed. He loved sports, dig fan of the U of Michigan, loved to golf and spending time with family and friends and there was always an excuse to have a party! He threw a “Are you still my friend party” a month or so before he passed away because he had been recuperating from open heart surgery and hadn’t seen any of his friends for several months. He had beautiful eyes, a big smile, and a big laugh that went along with it. He was loved beyond measure by so many loyal friends and family, and he loved them in return. All of this was suddenly silenced on October 19, 2019. When asked how he got through all his health complications, Guy said, “You just have to keep moving forward.” His positive attitude was an inspiration to others in dealing with their own health issues. We don’t know how to do life without Guy, but with God’s help we will do our best to keep moving forward too.
Loved and missed by so many family and friends… never to be forgotten… until we meet again!
