James Russell Genova
I chose the verse on Jim’s quilt square because it states how he lived his life. He gave of himself 100% to those he respected and loved. He felt his purpose was to give his children a life better than his. He was a Papa to five beautiful grand-girls and they were as he said “The simple joys in his life.” As a husband he loved to the depths of his soul. We were together and worked together to build a business and he was always there by my side. The love we shared shaped who we were and are. He always put everyone before himself. He thought because of his illness, he would not be able to donate his organs. He would be very pleased if he knew someone could have his eyes. That’s just who he was, helping as many people as he could. He is greatly missed and loved by his family and friends.
