Anthony Rust
Tony was a loving husband, father, Papa, son, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with his family camping, hunting, and fishing. He was completely in love with his three granddaughters and his grandson who is his namesake. Always a hard worker – he drove a forklift truck at General Motors V-8 Engine in Flint, MI. He was a meat cutter and processed many deers in his man-cave, “The Barn”. He taught his trade to his family and friends, passing the skill on to even his grandchildren. Tony was an avid hunter. He especially loved duck and goose hunting with his nephews thus earning the name “Big Duck”. He was very proud of his Polish heritage and loved to listen to Polish music and eat traditional Polish foods. One of Tony’s passions was watching NASCAR and his favorite driver Tony Stewart. He was thrilled to attend the 50th anniversary running of the Daytona 500 with his three girls in 2008. Tony was a generous, caring, kind, and loving man. He had an infectious smile and laugh that would light up the room. He loved life and would do anything for anyone. He is greatly missed by his loving wife of 41 years, his daughters Marcia, Maria, and Melissa, and family and friends. He is now our “Big Duck” in the sky. Forever in our hearts.
