This quilt square contains original drawings of Bob?s and a picture of him on piano playing with ?Lil Ed & the Blues Imperials? in his hometown, Kalamazoo, MI. ?Boogie Woogie Bob? Peters was a self-taught musician, a Kalamazoo favorite and legend on piano. He died at the age of 53 in March, 2010. Leaving behind a musical and artistic legacy, a loving wife, siblings, and hundreds of adoring fans to whom the world will never be as bright. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and an employee of the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years. He was a genius, an artist, gardener, a guitar collector, and a modern day renaissance man. ? He is greatly missed, but his family is grateful that from his sudden passing, others were given a chance to see the world through his eyes.
