James Senior R Vickey

My husband, Jim, (James R. Vickey, Sr.), was a very loving and compassionate person. Therefore, we thought it would be appropriate to use that theme for his quilt square. Jim loved God and his church very much, so we selected the bible verse Matthew 22: 37-38 which refer to loving God with all your heart, mind, and soul. Next, he loved his family tremendously, thus we placed a copy of the family picture taken at the dinner at his church following the funeral. He had many hobbies, and one of them was growing and caring for his many rose bushes. Therefore, we have placed a copy of one of his roses photographed by him a few years ago. The picture of Jim at the top left is a copy of a picture taken of him at a Christmas party he attended with some of his children and grandchildren, and me in December, 2004, just two months before his death.
