Laura

This quilt patch was made for my sister-in-law Laura Domienik who was killed in a car accident on May 5, 2005. It begins with the background material. Each word describes Laura. She was always willing to help out whenever needed. She loved her family and friends and always looked for the good in people. The music note, the lighthouse and butterfly symbolizes her passion for these things. The hands are a reminder of her work as a social worker with a group called Healthy Moms and Babes, which helps women take better care of their children. The cross shows her deep love and faith in God. Finally the yellow ribbon was used because Laura loved the color yellow.
