Kidney recipient

Dayja Foster was diagnosed with kidney failure when she was just 16. Dialysis kept her going, but robbed Dayja of her time as a teenager. Last year, a generous donor saved her life and she received a new kidney at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

That gift allowed her to go to her senior prom, graduate from high school and live the life of a normal teen. Today, she’s enrolled in college, volunteering for Gift of Life Michigan and her future is bright. Dayja thanks her donor every day and shares her story of love with others.
