One of Dave’s favorite places to visit during the summer months was Mackinac Island, a tradition started by his parents. Our own three children learned to love the Island as well. To celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary in 2007, Dave and I traveled through Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, and during a walk on the Island took this beautiful background photograph of the Mackinac Bridge and Ferry Boat. Dave also loved his “Big Red Truck,” visible in the lower left corner of the square. There were so many things that Dave enjoyed in life (just not enough room on the square!)—his most cherished of course, his love for his God, his wife, his three children, and his extended families.
