Fred Meyer

Fred had a wonderful smile and sense of humor. He enjoyed playing Santa and handing out gifts at the family Christmas gathering. He was a brother to 5 sisters and two brothers, a favorite uncle to 14 nieces and nephews and Great uncle to one niece and one nephew. We were all given dwarf names by our parents, since Fred could sleep anywhere, anytime, he was Sleepy. Fred was a very proud veteran of the U.S.M.C. following his father’s example. He enjoyed car racing passing his love of the sport to nieces and nephews. He frequently attended the Indy 500 and MIS with his brother, sister, and friends. He along with sister Jean hosted an annual pig roast for 13 years that was attended by 100 close family and friends. Fred enjoyed Spring turkey hunts with niece Cheryl, a couple nephews and brother-in-laws. Fred was a great friend and brother, and is missed every day.
