Gerald “Felix” Payette
When Gerald was born he was the youngest of eight siblings. The day his mother brought him home from the hospital his sister Dorothy’s husband called him Felix and it stuck. From then on everyone called him Felix. I first met him when I was 13. He was my brother John’s best friend. Felix and I married when I was 22 in 1964. He loved sailing, power boating, and classic cars. He doted on his children and grandchildren. There was nothing he wouldn’t do to help someone out. In his first 40 years of life he saved 2 boys from drowning. Felix was well liked and I loved him dearly. I will miss him forever.
