Jack Helms
Jack was a loving husband, dad, and papa. He was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren. He loved them deeply. Jack also proudly served his country in the US Army for 30 years and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. Jack volunteered at various charitable events and specially those events that benefited children. He was also a volunteer with the Parade Company.
The fabric chosen for his square represents Jack’s hobby which was woodworking. He was extremely talented and could make anything you wanted. We have many items he made specially for his family, and we cherish these creations as they remind us of Jack.
Summer days would find Jack out on his boat fishing but the frozen lake in winter allowed him to ice fish which was his favorite sport. Jack enjoyed deer hunting as well and from the start of bow season to the end of firearms season Jack and his brothers would hit the woods in search of that trophy buck.
We did not have the chance to say goodbye to Jack as God chose to take him away from us suddenly. He is deeply loved and we miss him terribly.
