Kirk T. Steen

Kirk always enjoyed time with his family. He is the oldest of four boys and had five children of his own. He was married to his college sweetheart Mandy, for 35 years. Family and friends were important to him, and they will never forget his kind gentle presence in their lives.Kirk shared his love of music through his guitar and voice. He was a songwriter who loved to play and write songs. Many said he sounded like his favorite artist, James Taylor, when he sang. Throughout his life he sang for numerous weddings, church events, concerts and camp fires. Kirk was an avid runner. He ran in many races during his life, including twelve marathons. He was training for the Boston marathon when he passed away. It is devastating that he could not accomplish this life goal. Kirks healthy body was able to help about 150 others through gift of life. He is greatly missed on earth but we are blessed to know that he is living on through so many others. He is gone too soon, but not soon forgotten.
