Lester Le Vern Thomas

Mr. Lester Lavern Thomas Jr. was born December 29, 1942. Thomas attended flint Northern High School where he participated in football, wrestling, swimming, and later he received his G.E.D. in 1960. Thomas enlisted in the United State Marine Corp. He served at Camp Pendleton, CA and The Cuban Missile Crisis. Thomas earned decoration of medal, badges commendation, and citation. He was awarded as a Military Lifeguard, Pistol and Rifle Sharpshooter. In 1966 he was Honorably Discharged as a Private First class and transferred to the Marine Corp Reserves of the 9th Marine Corps District. Lester was a Stewart Officer for the Teamsters Local # 332. He was a member of the Broncos Motorcycle Club and was appointed and given the title “The Road Master.” Thomas retired as a Truck Driver of twenty-five years for various truck companies. Thomas had so many accolades that consisted of numerous accomplishments that couldn’t be mentioned. And his joy for living was an explorer to all things that the world had to offer. Thomas won and accumulated friends where ever he traveled. Thomas leaves a lifetime of loving memories to his wife Sue of 39 years. They raised two wonderful children Lester III and S.S.G. Sabrina L Thomas. We will miss you dearly, but God needed you most on Heaven grounds.
