Mark Van’t Hof

The photo in this square was taken on our front porch in Denver in 2005. Our family loved sitting on the front porch. We especially liked watching the bats as they flittered around the front yard in the early evening.
The many colors of the ink (used to write some of Mark’s roles in life. Reflect the complexity of his personality and the way that his son (who was six when his dad died), enjoys switching colors often in his drawings.
The Tree of Life in the lower left corner recalls one of Mark’s favorite Bible passages about the heavenly city: “On each side of the river stood the Tree of Life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.” –Revelation 22:2
In this life and the next, Mark wanted people to be healed.
