Rebecca Vogelsang

The picture of Rebecca is from her senior pictures. Rebecca died two months before her high school graduation. This was her favorite picture of the many taken by the photographer. The quote is taken from the poem “Do not Stand at My Grave and Weep” by Mary Elizabeth Reye. The meaning of the poem is that Rebecca is everywhere in nature and her presence is all around us. The line “I am the soft star that shines at night” also has a meaning to us as Rebecca was a dancer and actress, performing on stage throughout her life. We called her out little star. She was still our star shining brightly from Heaven.
