Robert Leighton

Robert Leighton had a laugh and smile that could not be forgotten. He was a wonderful husband, son, brother and the father of 6 children. He was not only dedicated to his family, but also his job and his country. He served in the military as an Army Ranger in the 3rd Ranger Battalion. After his service to his country he worked for DTE at the Coke plant for 22years. An annual “Robert Leighton Spirit Award” was created to recognize his spirit of teamwork and dedication. We lost Robert when he was only 45 but the memories we have forever and his gift of organs allows part of him to live on for many more years.
