Ronald Allen Hicks

Ron was a person who lived life to the fullest. He was a pipefitter/ welder for 30 years. Working inside a nuclear reactor was probably one of his more interesting jobs. He was a bird watcher and made and gave away many many bluebird, bat and butterfly houses. He was a deer and pheasant hunter and a moral mushroom hunter and ever year for 48 years, he raised a vegetable garden. He liked to fish,bowl, golf and had a natural ear for music playing the guitar. He taught his children and grandchildren to love and respect nature. He would take his young grandchildren to a huge pine tree across the road and they would talk to the tree and he would be the “old man in the tree” and answer their questions. His grandchildren were his world. His family was his life. We miss him every day.
