Ryan Kearney
When choosing a design for the quilt patch commemorating our son Ryans life, we decided immediately on an eagle. Ryan was always in the out-of-doors and was especially fascinated with eagles. Whenever they were the ones that occasionally visited the lake he grew up on, those that circle high in the sky at the cabin, or those that soared at the Beshofe Baraca Shrine in the U.P., Ryan could watch them for hours. Ryan collected eagles as well and had several different statuettes. After the donation, Ryans remains were cremated and we have a small portion of his ashes in two small urns in the shape of an eagle. One for us, his parents, and one for his widow and son. The patch was made by his grandmother and whenever we see an eagle, our thoughts will turn immediately to Ryan.
