Sharon Loughead
Sharon Loughead: daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She worked as a paralegal and enjoyed working in her garden but that didn’t define her as much as her place within her faith community of St. Ephrem in Sterling Heights, Michigan.Sharon’s light shined bright with everyone she met – she loved fiercely and worked relentlessly to meet the needs of others. Sharon was instrumental year after year in helping to set up the Advent Tea held at her church. Sharon was a prayerful person who was at Mass every week, many times in her white alb ~ serving the ministers at the altar. Sharon’s life was complete when she served every Holy Thursday liturgy – the Mass of the Lord’s Supper. It was then that she expressed that as Jesus washed the feet of His disciples,” she felt that she must do the same. Sharon would serve Mass with our “special disciples” the children in our “special needs” program. She was proud of her Church family and created special friendships with many over the years. Sharon lived out her faith with family, friends and her faith community. Sharon’s prayer was “open yourself to God” and she expressed that to others. We will forever miss our sister but know that she is guiding us from her place in Heaven with her Lord, Jesus Christ. We love you, Your Advent Tea Sisters
