Teri Irene Hollis
Teri was born January 28, 1958, to Elbert and Elaine. She was a good and beautiful baby. As she grew older, she was considered an introvert. She was shy and did very little talk. She went to St. Phillips Lutheran school and studied the Lutheran Catechism.
Teri was a 1975 graduate of Pershing High School and immediately attended Eastern Michigan University where she received her bachelor’s degree. Teri was always a go getter and very talented. It wasn’t too much later when Teri soon relocated to Huston, Texas to spread her wings and soar, from there to Atlanta, GA, and Virginia. Teri worked for Sprint for over 30 years and was very proud of her accomplishments there. She worked as a trainer and in her later years with a dynamic team as a business continuity Manager she truly considered her Sprint team part of the family. Her manager said that Teri was truly loved, and you don’t hear that in the corporate world. She did everything by the book. Her manager said she once told Teri that she sometimes worked in the grey area… Teri told her that everything was black and white when it comes to business, and she preferred to work that way. She laughed and said that was Teri.
Teri continued to work until she was hospitalized, she fought cancer to the end. On October 11, 2017, her battle with cancer was over and, she defeated it with dignity and pride her reward was going to her heavenly home.
Teri leaves to cherish her memories: her parents Elbert and Elaine (Yancy), brother (Temeo Artis proceeded her in death), brother Todd Edwin (Kelly), nephews Temeo, Christopher, Niece Brittney, her fave Renee, cousin Lajuan great nephew and great nieces, cousins, relatives, and an enormous number of friends.
