Eugene Longuski

On the quilt patch is a poem written by his niece Lauren Messing. Also a picture of Gene and the tractor he liked to work with and a picture of Gene with his niece and God child Brittney Maurer. Gene was an avid NASCAR fan, so we included an emblem from his favorite hat. Also an emblem from his shirt showing his proud support for U of M sports and the Medical Center. His dad received a liver transplant in 1992- at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Since this time, it was very important to him that he become a tissue and organ donor, since his father received “the gift of life,” he wanted to give the gift of life.
