A group of metro Detroit students have made quite a difference for the Gift of Life Foundation in 2020.
Key2Finesse, a student-led nonprofit organization, generated $75,000 for the Gift of Life Foundation through a year-long partnership that culminated in a Speak the Difference fundraiser earlier this month.
“We are truly grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with these talented young people,” said Dorrie Dils, CEO of Gift of Life Michigan. “This has been a wonderful partnership and we appreciate all the hard work that went into this event and for everything they’ve done for us this year. We were fortunate to have been selected from so many worthy causes.”
Key2Finesse is was founded in 2015 by high school students Esha Ghosalkar and Chintan Maheshwari with the goal to create future leaders by promoting public speaking and other life skills. The organization puts on several events every year, including confidence building and public speaking workshops and career exploration symposiums. The Speak the Difference fundraiser is their largest event; it includes of a variety of different competitions such as essay writing, poetry, art, coding, multimedia, and public speaking.
Key2Finesse has worked with charities like Gleaner’s Community Food Bank, The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) and Easter Seals in the past. The $75,000 raised for Gift of Life is the most they have generated for any group.
