Daniel David DeGraff

Behind his quick-witted, wry sense of humor, Daniel was a quiet, consistent strength. He was our temperance and our tie-breaker, and he held our family together, especially when the rest of us were over-reacting. He could always break the tension with an off-the-cuff joke.In public life, Daniel was the kind-hearted gentleman who opened the door for someone, wheeled the kid in the wheelchair from class to class, and welcomed the new student. He was a protector at hearth, and cared about veterans, & battered women. He was both strong and gentle. Even in death he gave of himself as an organ donor. We are blessed because we knew him.
