Mother, Nana, loving wife, dear friend, caring, giving are just a few words that describe my Mom, Pat Golden. She was the most giving person I have ever known even right up to her passing on 12/14/2009. Even though she knew her body was damaged, tired, and worn out she said “let them use whatever they can to help someone else”. Because of her donating her corneas, two people now have restored sight. This quilt square depicts some of the things that she loved in this life: Roses, sewing, penguins, birds, her family and the Lord. What a beautiful legacy she has left behind and passed on tot all of us with her unselfish love. I will carry on this legacy for you Mom and for your grandchildren. I will love you forever!
