Welcome! Gift of Life Michigan has a brand-new way to talk about organ, eye and tissue donation.

This blog will provide a rich opportunity for us to regularly share stories of hope and critical information about partnerships, technology, the way donation works, volunteering and so much more.

We’ll continue to share messages several times a week on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, but you will find the latest blog posts on our website under the “Blog” tab at the top of the page.

We know the donation process is a mystery to many, so we’ll explain it with a series of posts about each step. We also will introduce you to some of the people who work at Gift of Life to talk about how they help fulfill the wishes of donors and their families.

Our blog also will be a place for us to highlight our community outreach programs that inspire Michigan residents to donate life, as well as the great work of our partners in donation and transplant.

We’ll answer some of the questions we regularly hear, and we’ll share the stories and perspectives of people who have personally experienced donation or transplantation.

Let us know what you think! If you’ve got ideas for future posts, send them our way. We want this forum to be both informative and inspirational.

You also can help us honor life through donation by joining the Michigan Organ Donor Registry, making sure your decision to donate is known.

Thank you for supporting the gifts of life, sight and mobility.
