Who we are and what we do: the organ donation process at Gift of Life Michigan

videoblogpic

Gift of Life Michigan was founded nearly 50 years ago, but we still get common questions about who we are, what we do and how organ and tissue donation works.

Those unfamiliar with the history of the 501(c)3 non-profit organization can get that information here.

For others curious about the donation process, Gift of Life has put together a video that outlines the journey from the moment a referral comes in to our call center through the steps to finding a potential match—and the care, respect and compassion shown along the way.

“We work with all religions, all races, all cultures,” said Mark Tudor, director of Surgical and Hospital Services for Gift of Life Michigan. “We’re just trying to find the best outcome for the donor families and help treat people on the waiting list.”
